The Interim At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) is pleased to be working with Mr. Carlos Valdez as GAC's liaison to our committee.

To help further ensure that the ALAC understands and is responsive to the needs of the GAC, and to help further ensure that the GAC has a high level of input from, and interaction with, the ALAC and the At-Large community, we request that an ALAC liaison be accepted into the GAC. As the GAC has noted, a stronger framework for communications and consensus building between the different ICANN stakeholders and the GAC is desirable. ALAC liaisons are effectively working with the GNSO Council and various task forces and committees, and a liaison request is pending with the proposed ccNSO.

We look forward to your reply, and to working closely with your committee in carrying out ICANN's coordination and policy-development roles.
